HOW DOES NON-LASER TATTOO REMOVAL WORK?
The uniquely formulated cream is applied with our state of the art machine, in a similar way to the original ink. The cream bonds on a molecular level with the colour pigments and both are rejected by the skins natural healing process to form a scab.

WHAT IS IN THE REMOVAL CREAM?
Many of the ingredients are found in food and cosmetic products, in order of quantity they are; water, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, n-propanol and benzoic acid. The treatment has the approval of various health and safety officers around the UK. Exposure is minimal and chemical concentrations present little or no risk. Furthermore, only about 3ml is needed per treatment most of which does not penetrate the skin.

DOES IT HURT?
Although similar to the original tattoo process, our very latest precision machines give a less painful experience than what you have already endured. A topical anaesthetic can also be used if required during tattoo removal.

CAN I RE-TATTOO A TREATED AREA?
Where reduction or removal of an existing tattoo has been carried out, selective re-sculpting or complete replacement is often possible.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
An average tattoo can typically be removed in four treatments and takes approximately six weeks for the treated area to heal sufficiently between treatments.

The treatment times are similar to the time taken in application of the original tattoo, thus it varies with size. The average tattoo will take 35 minutes to treat.

Laser can take significantly more treatments (between 5-20) therefore savings in both time and money soon add up with our latest system.

WILL IT WORK FOR MY SKIN TYPE?
The Southampton Skin Clinics' tattoo removal system is effective on all skin types and ethnic backgrounds.

DO YOU GUARANTEE COMPLETE REMOVAL AND SAFETY?
As with individuals, each tattoo is unique and some will respond differently to others. Thus absolute tattoo removal guarantees are not possible. However, the published success rate of colour removal is 100% for permanent makeup and over 92% for body tattoos. These are better than any other method on the market.

There have been no lasting side effects documented arising from this type of removal treatment and 1000’s of tattoos have been successfully removed with no adverse reaction. Southampton Skin Clinics are fully insured for the provision of their treatments.

Soreness for around a week is possible. Post final treatment redness should fade to the normal skin colour after a few months. Our latest system will not cause long term texture or pigment changes like laser tattoo removal can.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY SKIN POST TREATMENT?
We advise you to keep the treated area dry so the cream can continue to work undiluted. A scab will form and fall off in due course, taking ink with it. Any further ink in the skin will move closer to the surface, thus making it easier to expel with further treatments.

CAN SOUTHAMPTON SKIN CLINICS TREAT ME IF I HAVE ALREADY HAD LASER REMOVAL TREATMENT?
Lasers can form sub-dermal scar tissue, if this is not too prevalent it is possible to treat, and in some cases can help faster removal with our system. We can also help improve the apperance of existing laser and other scars in some cases. Please call 02380 837145 or 07810371478.

WILL THIS WORK ON PERMANENT EYEBROW MAKEUP AND HOME MADE TATTOOS?
Yes to both, home made tattoos can vary even more in quality than professionally applied ones. Thus some can be removed in fewer treatments. But no two are the same.
